A full-bodied, ruby brown, strong ale. Slightly malty with background hints of liquorice and sometimes roast coffee and for some caramel too. Over all this is a complex fruitiness suggesting dates, cherries and figs. The finish tends to be bitter but in a chocolate kind of way. A rich kaleidoscope of well integrated flavours.
