This was a substantial manor house, which was converted into a pub by Hammond Brewery. It still retains the sash windows and plain old fashioned doors. The building has been substantially extended. The interior is modern and with a large open-plan dining/drinking area and a smaller games/tap room with the servery between. Primarily a family pub with the emphasis on good value food. A variety of meal deals are available throughout the week. A large beer garden and children's play area is located to one side. There is a Thursday night quiz.
